The Ecovac Deebot n79s dimensions measure up at 12” wide and 3” tall. It is about an inch slimmer and half a inch shorter than the Roomba 675. For a robot vacuum, smaller is generally better – cleaning under furniture and around tight corners is easier.

A 2600mAh lithium-ion battery powers the Deebot n79s. The battery supplies enough power for the unit to run nonstop for around 110 minutes.
The automatic docking and recharge function programs the unit to come back to its home base to recharge when the battery is running out. This ensures that the unit never runs out of battery and you won’t come home to a dead robot vacuum in the middle of a cleaning job! The 1800mAh lithium-ion battery on the 675 runs for around 90 minutes, notably less than the Deebot n79s. It also automatically goes back to its charging base when it senses a critically low battery.

However, some users have reported their experiences in which their 675 shuts down before reaching the charging dock, so consider that information before you make a decision. On the bright side, it takes less time than the Deebot n79s to charge from empty to full, at 2-3 hours.
Thankfully it is a fairly simple process – there are smartphone apps for both models that you can use to control the units from wherever you are, as long as there is a Wi-Fi connection.

The n79s performs exceptionally well on hardwood floors and it picks up smaller items like rice or grains more effectively due to its concentrated brushing program which kicks up less dirt and debris from the 675.
The Roomba 675 has about 600 Pa of suction power – significantly less than the Ecovacs Deebot n79s has to offer. The 675 has been reported to pick up 40-50% less dirt and debris as compared to the n79s.
This may be due to the fact that the 675’s side brushes seem to be kicking away more dirt than it sucks in due to the brush positions on the unit.
The Roomba 675 uses Dirt Detect Technology to clean around dirtier areas more thoroughly. Inbuilt acoustic sensors in the 675 detect areas of your home that are dirtier and the onboard computer programs it to concentrate more on cleaning those particular areas before moving on to the next area.
The Ecovacs n79s has a max power cleaning mode which can be activated from your smartphone through the Ecovacs Home App (available for Android and iOS). The Ecovacs HOME app allows you to connect to your Ecovacs Deebot n79s as long as there is a Wi-Fi connection in your home. With this app, you are able to customize the cleaning schedule for every day of the week – even if you’re not at home. The app itself is less sleek than the iRobot HOME app, but it gets the basic functions done and it is controllable via Google and Alexa as well.

Unlike other robot vacuum models at a higher price point, both the 675 and the n79s are simply basic, affordable robot vacuum units that get the cleaning job done and not much else in the way of special features.
